The MKA was founded in 1974 to provide information, advice and education
for our Members which enables them to fully enjoy all aspects of Koi carp
keeping, breeding and showing.
We hope you enjoy our new web site. You are welcome to browse and take
a good look around and if you are interested in joining our Association (or if
you need any help) please do not hesitate to contact us.
The association has a wealth of knowledge and if you require assistance on
Koi health, pond maintenance, repair or a new pond there will be no
shortage of practical advice!
Our members ponds range from small private garden ponds to some of the
most interesting designs found anywhere in the country
The hobby has seen a major increase in popularity in recent years. Many
people enjoy the tranquility found in keeping Koi. It provides an instant
getaway from our daily routine and an opportunity to relax and enjoy life.
The Association meets on the second Tuesday of each month from October
through to May with the summer month's meetings held at member's
gardens, visiting dealers and different Koi sections where we enjoy seeing
fantastic Koi, serene ponds and beautiful gardens.
At most autumn and winter meetings we have guest speakers.
